Board of Directors Resources & Templates
As part of my work, I facilitate training, policy development, and coaching nonprofit Board members on their duties and responsibilities. Below is a curated listed of resources, some I developed and others I recommend. Please reach out if you have questions, comments, or feedback about any of these items.

Nonprofit Management Resources and Templates
I was the first in my family to graduate college and break into nonprofit management, so when I was suddenly promoted to lead a team without any training, I felt completely unprepared. Now, one of the things I love most about consulting is coaching new leaders to feel confident guiding their people—whether that means running effective weekly check-in meetings, tracking performance with clear documentation, or setting meaningful goals that help your team grow. These management and supervision templates are the tools I wish I’d had back then: straightforward, practical frameworks to help you lead with purpose and ease.

City of Boulder, CO Community Court Assessment
In the Summer of 2023, I partnered with the City of Boulder, Colorado, to assess the effectiveness of their Community Court program. The evaluation measured the effectiveness of the program which provides alternative sentencing for minor criminal offenses commonly associated with homelessness, addiction, and mental illness (camping, public intoxication, etc.).
To evaluate the program, I met with court staff, law enforcement, community partners, and service providers to conduct in-depth interviews and facilitate discussions on the program’s impact. Concurrently, I reviewed internal processes, as well as analyzed both qualitative and quantitative feedback to produce a final report which was submitted to the City of Boulder and the United States Department of Justice.
Through this collaborative assessment, I provided the Boulder Community Court with clear, practical recommendations to enhance program effectiveness, community engagement, and organizational efficiency.

Intersections
As part of my work at the Domestic Violence Prevention Network, I managed the writing, design, and facilitated group discussion on the goals/objectives of the community-wide plan, "Intersections: Engage, Collaborate, Transform". In 2017 it was launched as the fourth iteration of DVN’s strategic efforts to address domestic violence in Central Indiana. This plan marked a shift toward examining the root causes of violence and the risk and protective factors that intersect with domestic violence, such as economics, education, mental health, substance abuse, and suicide. The "Intersections" plan was designed as a three-year initiative to foster collaboration across different sectors and address systemic issues contributing to domestic violence.

Beyond Equity
"Beyond Equity" is a community-wide plan developed by the Domestic Violence Prevention Network (DVPN) in Indianapolis, launched in early 2024. This four-year initiative is specifically designed to address the unique needs and experiences of Black and African American women, as well as LGBTQ+ individuals, who have historically been marginalized or underserved by traditional domestic violence prevention and intervention efforts.
As a consultant, I assisted staff to identify objectives, goals, and partners for Beyond Equity. As part of this work I facilitated conversations between services providers, community members, and partner organizations. Finally, I developed, wrote, and designed the final document based on the direction of DVPN’s staff.
